Auckland Build Expo Announced as Finalist for “Best Tradeshow Launch” in the Excellence Awards 2017 by the Association of Event Organisers.
18th May 2017 - The Association of Event Organisers has announced that the Auckland Build Expo has been named as a Finalist for “Best Tradeshow Launch” in the AEO Excellence Awards 2017. The show has also made the finals for the “Best Tradeshow.”
The AEO Awards are well respected within the events industry and deemed to be the leading awards ceremony for the exhibition industry. The awards finalists are shortlisted and voted upon by exhibition organisers from around the world. Alongside the two event nominations, Oliver Kinross, the exhibition organiser behind the show was also announced as a finalist for the “Innovation Award 2017.”
The inaugural Auckland Build Expo took place last year on 16th and 17th November at the ASB Showgrounds. The show brought together over 2,600 professionals in the New Zealand construction industry over the two-day show. More than 120 exhibitors as well as 50 top-level speakers participated at the launch show. It was also widely supported and promoted by leading industry bodies and partners, such as The Building Hub, National Association of Women In Construction New Zealand, Master Painters New Zealand Association Inc, BCITO, BCI New Zealand and many more.
Event Director, James McKenzie commented that, “We're absolutely delighted to have made it to the finals of the AEO Awards in two categories for Auckland Build, especially against such tough competition globally. Auckland Build Expo launched to great fanfare and was well received within the construction industry in Auckland and New Zealand as a whole. We believe the reason we've made it to the finals is our unique offering to the market. Our main USP for the show is the amount and level of free conferences, workshops, seminars and industry education we provide. Alongside this our show offers great networking opportunities, beer and whiskey tasting, live music, entertainment and a really interactive show floor. It's not easy to get visitors to expos and this event clearly showed we have a winning formula. The team behind the show worked tirelessly on the event and without their support we wouldn't have had such a great launch show. Fingers crossed we will pick up the awards on the night.”
Auckland Build Expo is more than doubling in size in 2017 and back on the 2nd & 3rd November at ASB Showgrounds. The show features free conference and workshop sessions presented by industry experts, The Sustainability Summit, The BIM & Digital Construction Summit, networking and lots of entertainment.
The winners will be announced on 16th June at Grosvenor House, London. Visit http://www.aeoawards.org/ for the details.
